BEIJING, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

JAKARTA -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 6,267 within one day to 534,266, with the death toll adding by 169 to 16,815, the Health Ministry said Sunday.

According to the ministry, 3,810 more people were discharged from hospital, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 445,793.

MOSCOW -- Russia registered 26,683 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking its national total to 2,269,316, the country's COVID-19 response center said in a statement on Sunday.

Meanwhile, 459 new deaths were reported, taking the nationwide count to 39,527.

BERLIN -- Germany reported 14,611 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the national total to 1,042,700, the Robert Koch Institute said Sunday.

The country's death toll increased by 158 to 16,123, the data from the RKI's COVID-19 Dashboard showed.

CHONGQING -- Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality has launched large-scale COVID-19 nucleic acid testing, tracing and disinfection after an outbound traveler was diagnosed as an asymptomatic coronavirus case upon arriving in the Republic of Korea (ROK), the local health commission said on Sunday.

The ROK national is an employee of a Chongqing company and had been in the city since Feb. 1. He traveled by company car to Shuangliu International Airport in the city of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, on Thursday night. He departed from the airport on Friday and arrived at Incheon International Airport, west of the ROK capital Seoul, on the same day. He was tested upon arrival and received his diagnosis on Saturday, said the commission.

NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally reached 9,392,919 on Sunday as 41,810 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, said the latest data from the health ministry.

According to the data, the death toll mounted to 136,696 with 496 new deaths since Saturday morning.

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia has reported six cases of COVID-19 in the community for the first time, Ministry of Health's spokeswoman Or Vandine said in a statement on Sunday.

A 56-year-old Cambodian woman and his husband, 56, as well as four other family members, who reside in capital Phnom Penh and Siem Reap province, tested positive for the virus on Saturday, Vandine said, adding that they have been sent to isolation wards at the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital in Phnom Penh for treatment.

SEOUL -- South Korea reported 450 more cases of COVID-19 as of midnight Saturday compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 33,824.

The daily caseload fell below 500 in four days, but it grew in triple digits for 22 days due to small cluster infections in Seoul and its surrounding Gyeonggi province as well as imported cases.

HOHHOT -- One new asymptomatic COVID-19 case was reported in the border city of Manzhouli in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the regional health commission said on Sunday.

The new case, reported between 7 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday, was a close contact of a previously confirmed case in the city, the commission said.

ULAN BATOR -- Mongolia reported 24 more COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, raising the national tally to 784, the country's National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) said Sunday.

One of the latest confirmed cases was imported, and the others were all domestically transmitted ones, said Amarjargal Ambaselmaa, head of the NCCD's Surveillance Department, at a daily press conference.
