CALAMBA CITY, November 13 (PIA CALABARZON) - After over a year of construction, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and Regional Development Council (RDC) recently inaugurated their new office building in Barangay Milagrosa, Calamba City.

The two-floor building of the NEDA-RDC Region IV-A office will administer the agency and council's operations replacing the rented office in Barangay Real, Calamba City.

Aside from NEDA's office and RDC's conference room, the building also features a Public-Private Partnership Knowledge Corner (PPPKC). PPPKC, a project of the PPP Center (an attached agency of NEDA), is an information hub where local government units (LGUs), implementing agencies and other stakeholders can get accurate and updated information and knowledge on PPPs.

NEDA secretaries, regional officials and RDC representatives expressed their gratitude to everyone who helped in the realization of their new office building.

They noted that unity is a key factor in the success of their project.

"Isa itong monumento, Isang monumento na nagpapakita na pag tulong-tulong, mayroong isang direksyon, isang ambisyon, natutupad,"NEDA Undersecretary Jose Miguel R. De La Rosa said.

(This is a monument, a monument that shows that if everyone supports each other, shares one direction to reach one ambition, it will be attained.)

Meanwhile, NEDA Undersecretary Adoracion Navarro reassured their commitment to actively continue their activities for the country's development.

"This inauguration is a marker, not only of the accomplishment, not only of what we've finished but also a marker of what we are setting to do, a marker of our work program," Navarro said.

NEDA handles the formulation of continuing, coordinated and fully integrated social and economic policies, plans and programs for the country.

In accordance to this responsibility, NEDA hosted the 4thquarter Sectoral Committee on Macroeconomy and Development Administration meeting and Joint Luzon RDCOM & Special RDC Meeting after the inauguration. (PIA-CALABARZON)
