Developing countries only ten years away from emission control
Kazakhstan News.Net Saturday 7th November, 2009
Developing countries including China, India and Brazil will cut their greenhouse gas emissions by 25 per cent by 2020 according to new research.
The progress of the countries in their quest to cut emissions has been determined in a study commissioned by the German government.
The study has cited the aggressive plans of some developing countries to improve energy efficiency and promote renewable energy through emissions trading systems, saying they are starting to get to levels which are sufficient to trigger 25 to 40 per cent reductions by 2020.
