Obama draws close to Clinton on superdelegate list
Kazakhstan News.Net Friday 9th May, 2008
Barack Obama has won fresh labour backing in his run for the White House.
Obama has picked up the backing of nine superdelegates, including a member of the Congressional Black Caucus who had once been a Clinton supporter.
In addition, the American Federation of Government Employees announced its support for Obama. The union claims about 600,000 members who work in government jobs.
Obama, who won a convincing victory in the North Carolina primary and lost Indiana narrowly on Tuesday, has been steadily gaining strength in the days since.
The latest developments have left former first lady Hillary Clinton with 271.5 superdelegates, to 271 for Obama.
Little more than four months ago, on the eve of the primary season, she held a lead of 169-63.
Superdelegates are party leaders who attend the convention delegates by virtue of their positions, and are not selected in primaries and caucuses.

Obama has some very serious Anti-american ties!
He surrounds himself with people that hate America.
His wife has expressed her true feelings about America as well!
This apple has not fallen far from the tree at all.
Anyone that votes for this man is an idiot.
