Dutch anti-Koran film taken off the Internet
Kazakhstan News.Net Friday 28th March, 2008
An anti-Koran film, made by Dutch MP and film director, Geert Wilders, has been removed from the Internet site, LiveLeak.
An official statement has been released on the website saying the film was removed because of serious physical threats to staff.
The statement insists that the safety of the website's staff has to come first.
The "Fitna" movie, which features violent imagery of terror attacks in New York and Madrid intertwined with Koranic texts, was posted on the internet on Thursday.
Meanwhile, United Nations secretary-general Ban Ki-moon has joined Muslim nations in expressing outrage over "Fitna".
Mr Ban called Geert Wilders film offensive while Iran, Bangladesh and Pakistan protested to the Dutch ambassador.
Mr Ban said: "I condemn in the strongest terms the airing of Geert Wilders' offensively anti-Islamic film. The right of free speech is not at stake here."

If he did a second humorous film about the Jewish people, but to speak negatively would be anti-sematic and against the law.
It would not be against the law in a Islamic country to make any anti sematic gesture. It would have been welcomed and blessed. So maybe you are not so dam good good!!! after all.
The fact still remains the film wether insulting or what ever was taken down because of threats on the staff of the Website.
That was deprecation of freedom of speech press and civil liberties. Which only upheld Wilder message in this film, whether right or wrong to have been made. Islamic threats won again. This Wilders point.
So once again maybe DAM you not so good!!!!

The onlyu thing to fear is fear itself
I think by removing this video Geert Wilders has succeed in pointing out the loss of liberties such as freedom of speech and press to the treats of “Islam” Neither pro nor con, just realizing our democratic system has fail here because a particular secular division. Felt threatened and in returned made threats of harm to get their way.
In most instances the truth will always set one free unless within that truth there is something that is threatening. I think all the position is exactly what Wilders hope for and he is achieving his point well made.
Otherwise this film should do no harm to anyone and be laughable. Instead it has provoked the kind of violence and threat Wilder attemped to point out with the film in the first place.

"bloody good Job” that film should not have been shown in the first place, than Liveleak should not have had to close shop out of fear of retaliation to its staff, a bit like think before you leap!!! and as far as looking for alternatives? they have been there all the time! show respect for one another and their believes, than we can all get on,

Hey scared to speakout
Geert Wilder could do a second humorous film about the Jewish people, but to speak negatively would be anti-sematic and against the law. So I guess there are two religions/groups that surpress free speech, and one has a law to protect it. Solution pass a law for the Muslum’s claims- see problem solved, Dam I’m good! What about those Americian Troops that do not answer to the Hague Court-I mean Darn they created it but are scared to answer to it! These and many more double standards make a joke of our moral position in most Countries on the globe. Respect does not come from fear, even we should understand this.
